CAR RENTAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. General Provisions.1.1. The website
www.autogolv.com serves as a platform for short-term car rental. These terms constitute a public offer (user agreement), the conditions of which the Renter accepts when making a reservation on the Lessor’s website.
1.2. Rental relations between the Lessor and the Renter are governed by these terms and by the rental agreement, which is concluded and signed at the moment the vehicle is handed over.
1.3. The Renter must meet the following requirements:
– minimum age: 22 years;
– minimum continuous driving experience: 2 years;
– valid identity document (passport or ID card) and driver's license.
2. Booking and Payment Procedure.2.1. Car reservations are made online at
www.autogolv.com or by phone indicated on the website, by providing information on the vehicle model, rental period (from/to), and selecting any additional services (e.g. vehicle delivery to the specified address).
2.2. Payment may be made by bank transfer or in cash.
2.3. In case of non-cash payment, the Renter makes a transfer to the Lessor’s bank account based on an issued and electronically delivered invoice.
2.4. For cash payments, settlement is made at the time the vehicle is received, and the Renter is issued a paper invoice.
2.5. The security deposit ranges from 100 EUR to 200 EUR depending on the Renter’s driving experience. The amount and return procedure are defined in the rental agreement.
2.6. The deposit is returned to the Renter within 3 (three) business days after the vehicle is returned, provided that:
– the vehicle is returned in the same technical and visual condition as at the time of receipt;
– no traffic violations were recorded during the rental period;
– no other obligations under the agreement were breached.
2.7. The Renter shall fully compensate for any expenses related to the loss of car keys or documents.
3. Vehicle Pickup and Return.3.1. The pickup and return location is agreed upon by the parties — either at the Lessor’s address: Strazdu Street 3, Liepaja, or at the address specified by the Renter if the optional “door-to-door delivery” service is selected.
3.2. Inspection of the vehicle’s technical and visual condition is carried out in the presence of both parties. Any detected damages are recorded in the handover document, and the vehicle is photographed.
3.3. The Renter must return the vehicle in the same technical and visual condition, and with the same fuel level as upon receipt.
3.4. If the vehicle is returned more than 3 hours later than the time stated in the agreement, a full daily rental fee will be charged. For delays under 3 hours, a fee of 10% of the daily rental rate is charged for each hour of delay.
4. Vehicle Use.4.1. The Renter is allowed to use the vehicle within Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia. Travel to other EU or third countries is prohibited.
4.2. The Renter is prohibited from transferring the vehicle to third parties, including subleasing or free use.
4.3. The Renter must comply with the Road Traffic Regulations and handle the vehicle with care.
4.4. In case of a traffic accident, damage, theft, or any other incident, the Renter must immediately notify the Lessor and contact the relevant services if required.
5. Insurance and Liability.5.1. All vehicles are insured with OCTA and KASKO policies.
5.2. The Renter bears full responsibility for damages not covered by insurance, as well as all fines incurred during the rental period (including traffic violations, parking fines, etc.).

6. Dispute Resolution.6.1. Disputes and disagreements shall be resolved through negotiation.
6.2. If an agreement cannot be reached, the dispute shall be settled in a competent court in accordance with the applicable laws of the Republic of Latvia.
